General RFEM RSTAB Steel Structures Eurocode 3

What is the difference between "With Shear Coupling" and "Without Shear Coupling" when considering the assembled cross-sections?

Answer

With the option "With Shear Coupling", the cross-section stiffness is calculated as a connected cross-section. This means that the thickness t* represents a completely welded cross-section.

With the option "Without Shear Coupling", two independent cross-sections are calculated.
