Grayed-out Function "Divide Surface"

I have a flat surface with a line running through it. Why is the "Divide Surface" function grayed out?

Answer:

Please check the integrated lines or the automatic object detection within the "Integrated" tab of the "Edit Surface" dialog box (see Image 01).

Edit Surface → Integrated
1 Edit Surface → Integrated

In some cases, the automatic object detection is deactivated during the model editing. Therefore, make sure that the corresponding lines are integrated into the surface.
