Since there are several yield strengths for stainless steel stored in the Material Library (0.2% yield strength and 1.0% yield strength) and, strictly speaking, the add-on module does not consider any standard for the design, but performs a pure stress analysis, the user must actively decide by manually specifying the yield strength. The video shows the procedure.
Invalid Material
Why do I get the message "Invalid material" in the RF‑/STEEL add-on module when using stainless steel?
The material library already includes the American types of concrete and reinforcing steel available for design. However, you can always define other materials for the design according to ACI 318.
By default, the units that are used for the reinforced concrete design according to ACI 318 are set to the imperial system of measurement.
Use the "Independent mesh preferred" option in the FE mesh settings to create an independent FE mesh for the integrated objects. This allows you to generate a significantly more detailed and precise FE mesh for individual objects that are integrated into one another.
In the "Edit Section" dialog box, you can display the buckling shapes of the Finite Strip Method (FSM) as a 3D graphic.
In RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9, you have the option to enter "Visual Objects" as guide objects. You can import the file formats 3ds, stl, and obj.
These objects allow you to create a better reference to the dimensions.
