The preset units are selected in such a way that they are suitable for most analysis types. However, it may sometimes be necessary to adjust the units for the results; for example, if the calculation of a model provides very large or extremely small result values.
Open the Edit menu. Select the Units and Decimal Places function to open the dialog box.
Tip
In many input dialog boxes, you can also use the
button to open the dialog box for changing the units.
Changing Units
Set the relevant result category in the list on the left; for example, "Static Analysis" or "Concrete Design" (1).
Now, find the result type of the non-suitable unit. When clicking in the text box for this unit, you can select the appropriate unit from the list (2).
Using Settings Permanently
The change is applied to the current model only. If you want to use this unit for new models, click the
button at the bottom of the dialog box (1). The "Save Template" dialog box appears. Specify a description for the changed settings.
Select the Save template as default check box (2). Click OK to apply the modified default settings to all models that you create from now on.
