At first glance, the material list for masonry appears to contain only Austrian materials.
This is because masonry units and mortar can be used in many different combinations, which would result in a very long and confusing list. In addition, the design was developed as part of the “DDMaS – Digitizing the design of masonry structures” research project.
Therefore, it is necessary to create a new material for masonry each time in order to take these possible combinations into account.
