Can I verify a cross-laminated timber wall using the equivalent member method?
This is most conveniently done using the Building Model and Timber Design add-on. Using the 'Walls' option, the cross-section can be recalculated either via the RSection program or as a user-defined cross-section.
The effective cross-section recalculated in this way can be verified like a normal member in the Timber Design add-on using buckling lengths.
