Geotechnical Design | Material Models

Would you like to perform realistic modeling and analysis of the soil solid behavior?

To ensure this, RFEM provides several specially adapted material models that take into account different soil behavior.

In addition to the modified Mohr-Coulomb model with linear-elastic ideal-plastic behavior and a nonlinear elastic model with oedometer stress-strain relation, the modified hardening soil model and the Hoek-Brown model are now also available.

These extended models allow for an even more precise description of complex geotechnical issues.
The modified Mohr-Coulomb model continues to use the Mohr-Coulomb limit criterion, which describes the transition from the elastic to the plastic range, while the new models allow for improved modeling of hardening effects and rock mechanical behavior.
