The "Load Transfer" member type transfers the member and nodal loads directly to the adjacent connected objects. These can be nodal supports, members, surfaces, solids, and line supports. The load transfer member has no stiffness.
For other member types, such as the beam member, load transfer properties can also be activated as an additional option. The functionality is the same, but these member types keep their original stiffness.
