Previously, the bearing resistance could not be calculated according to EN 1997-1 if the friction angles of individual soil layers deviated by more than 5° from the mean value. This restriction no longer applies: RFEM 6 now automatically reduces the deviating friction angles iteratively until the condition is fulfilled and designs the bearing resistance using the adjusted values.
