How can I display the contact stresses on a contact solid?

Answer

The result values described in RFEM as "Contact Stresses" are by definition reserved for the surfaces with surface supports (see the RFEM manual).

Instead, contact solids can be evaluated as standard solid elements. According to the definition of the axis system of contact solids, it is also possible to display the stresses in the contact direction in this way.

Please note that for the contact solid evaluation, it is necessary to deactivate the "Remove contact solids from display" option in the Display navigator (see Figure 02).
