How can I distribute installations for RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9 via the network?

Answer

The installation packages can be distributed via an MSI file (Windows Installer Package). For this, it is first necessary to extract the MSI file from the installation package.

To do this, run setup.exe with the "/E" parameter (RFEM_6.02.0007.exe/E). For the example in Image 01, the RFEM installation file has been copied to the drive C:\Temp. After the decompression, you will find a new folder "ProgramVersionNumber_Architecture" in the same path. For the example in Image 01, a folder with the name "Dlubal_RFEM_6.02.0007" has been created.

The installation can then be started from this folder using the command "msiexec -i >package name>.msi". If you also want to set the language to German, the command is as follows:

msiexec /i Dlubal_RFEM_64bit.msi TRANSFORMS=:1031.mst /quiet

If you use the -q (=-quiet) command, the installation runs without the user interface.

Please note that the command prompt is started by using the right mouse button and selecting the "Run as Administrator" option in the shortcut menu.

The German version will be installed by using the parameter "TRANSFORMS=1031.mst". If you want to install the English version, you need to omit this parameter.
