The model illustrates the pile foundations of a building complex that was realized as part of the newly constructed company headquarters of the FUNKE Mediengruppe at a major traffic hub in Essen. The complex includes three buildings with a total gross floor area of 37,000 m² and a parking garage for approximately 300 cars. The general contractors include ARGE AllesWirdGut and FCP – Fritsch, Chiari & Partner, who, among other things, carried out vibration tests. The design is complemented by a 3D model (© AllesWirdGut, Tschinkersten fotografie) that models the structural concrete approach in Germany. The technical display supports the detailed analysis of pile foundations in practical use.
