The model shows an innovative wall surface project for a workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol. The unconventional triangular facade was only partially used for load transfer, so that the inner parts of the building were significantly included in the stability concept. The technical solution was implemented by lignaconsult.net (© Schrentewein & Partner). The sophisticated combination of traditional timber construction and modern calculation technology is illustrated in the global 3D model as well as on the basis of the design internal forces of a cross-laminated timber wall in RFEM. The model documents a successful approach for timber structures using innovative strategies.
