The model shows an innovative steel supporting structure developed as part of the revitalization of a spoil heap in Baesweiler that had been abandoned since 1975. The aim was to realize a unique urban development and technology concept. The IFS-consulting engineers for civil engineering Prof. Feyerabend. Schüller Partnerschaftsgesellschaft from Hürth made a decisive contribution to the implementation. The German Landscape Architecture Prize was awarded in 2009 for this ambitious project.
