The architectural highlight of the bus station in Halle an der Saale is the stylishly designed canopies on the bus platforms. The light strips integrated into the roof edges make them an real eye-catcher, especially at night.

The canopies consist of steel structures with arched roofs. PVC-PES membranes and mesh fabric provide protection against the elements such as rain and snow.

When redesigning the bus station for a total of 4 million euros, the focus was also on accessibility.

Zapf & Co. from Strausberg, a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for the structural analysis, the detailed design, and the work planning of the membranes. RSTAB was used for the membrane calculation.
