In 2004, four founding countries – Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary – started a cooperation in the field of concrete engineering, with Poland joined in 2013. The Central European Congress of Concrete Engineering (CCC) was successful in exchanging experiences among experts, with the first congress taking place in 2005 and the others taking place every two years, with the 14th congress scheduled for 2024 in Mikulov, Czech Republic.
