Multiple Standards Available!

In RFEM and RSTAB, many national and international standards are available. The relevant add-on modules allow for the design of steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and aluminum structures.

The following overview lists the various county codes and standards available.

US Standards (AISC, ACI, AWC, ADM, ASCE 7, IBC)

In RFEM and RSTAB, you can design steel, concrete, aluminum, and timber structures according to the corresponding American standards. You can analyze combined structures consisting of various materials as well.

In addition to structural analysis, it is also possible to combine loads automatically and perform seismic design according to the IBC and ASCE 7.

Canadian Standards (CSA)

The Canadian standards for designing steel, concrete, and timber structures are available in the structural analysis programs RFEM and RSTAB.

In addition, it is possible to combine loads automatically and perform a seismic analysis according to the NBC standard.

Mexican Standards (RCDF, CFE Sismo 08)

The Mexican steel construction standard NTC‑RCDF (2004) is available for the design in the Dlubal structural analysis software. Furthermore, it is possible to perform seismic analysis according to the Mexican standard CFE Sismo 08.

Eurocodes (EC)

The FEA program RFEM and the frame & truss analysis program RSTAB allow for consistent structural design according to Eurocode for reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, timber structures, aluminum structures, and many other structures.

The planning process can be carried out according to the relevant European standards, from the automatic generation of load and result combinations to the generation of wind and snow loads.

Brazilian Standards (NBR)

The structural analysis software RFEM and RSTAB allow you to design steel structures according to the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 8800.

Furthermore, you can design timber structures according to the Brazilian standard for timber structures NBR 7190.

British Standards (BS EN, BS)

Steel structures can be designed in RFEM and RSTAB according to BS EN 1993‑1‑1 (Eurocode 3: British Annex). Moreover, it is possible to automatically create load and result combinations according to Eurocode 0 or BS 5950‑1.

Australian Standards (AS)

In RFEM and RSTAB, it is possible to design steel structures according to the Australian standard AS 4100‑1998. Furthermore, you can perform seismic analyses according to AS 1170.4‑2007.

South African Standards (SANS)

The structural analysis programs RFEM and RSTAB allow you to design steel structures according to the South African standard SANS 10162‑1:2011.

German Standards (DIN)

In Germany, structures are designed according to Eurocodes with the corresponding German National Annexes (DIN EN).

For a recalculation of existing structures, it may be necessary to work with the DIN standards that are no longer valid. Therefore, Dlubal Software offers solutions for these standards as well.

Swiss Standards (SIA)

The Swiss standards for steel, reinforced concrete, and timber structures are available in the Dlubal structural analysis software. Seismic analyses can be performed according to SIA 261.

Furthermore, it is possible to automatically combine loads according to the standards SIA 260 or SIA 260 | Timber.

Chinese Standards (GB, HK)

Furthermore, it is possible to automatically combine loads according to the standard GB 50009 and to perform seismic analyses according to GB 50011. Furthermore, it is possible to automatically combine loads according to the standard GB 50009‑2012 and to perform seismic analyses according to GB 50011‑2010.

For steel structures, the Code of Practice for the Structural Use of Steel 2011 (Buildings Department - Hong Kong) is also available.

Indian Standards (IS)

In RFEM and RSTAB, loads can be combined automatically according to the Indian standard IS 800. Furthermore, it is possible to perform the design of steel structures according to the standard IS 800 as well as the seismic analysis according to IS 1893.

Russian Standards (SP)

For Russia, RFEM and RSTAB provides the standards SP 63.13330 for design of reinforced concrete structures and the standard SP 16.13330 for design of steel structures. Furthermore, RFEM/RSTAB and RF‑/STEEL SP are certified in Russia.
