How was 2022 for us?

After a turbulent pre-Christmas period, the streets are gradually getting quieter again. Muted Christmas music and the scent of fir already suggest it: The year 2022 is coming to an end. As in every year, we take time to look at the past months together, because there is a lot to talk about.

Return to On-Site Events

It took two long years before larger events could finally take place again without restrictions. We really missed the big events with all the visitors. Accordingly, we really enjoyed the mutual exchange and numerous discussions with everyone interested in our software. Seminars and conferences could also be held as usual. It felt a little like we were finally coming home after the long pandemic period.

Particularly noteworthy are two major trade fairs at which Dlubal Software was represented. From May 31 until June 2, the second digitalBAU took place at the exhibition grounds in Cologne, Germany; it was a definite success with around 10,000 visitors. However, the trade fair days were not only more than successful at the company level. At the award ceremony for innovative digital solutions in the construction industry, our COO Daniel Dlubal received third prize for his Master's thesis, which was dedicated to the study of the Structural Analysis Format (SAF) for its suitability for BIM-supported structural design.

With our French team, we represented Dlubal Software at BATIMAT, the most important French construction trade fair. From October 3 to October 6, we met many new and well-known personalities in the construction industry.

Joint Company Events

If there is anything we missed as much as trade fairs and seminars, it was definitely company events. It was wonderful that we could finally meet again, for the first time in the summer, in a big circle. The joint games once again clearly showed that teamwork is the real key to success and that it depends on each individual.

Our Christmas party could only follow on this success. In addition to honoring our employees with a round company anniversary, there was a photo box for shared memories and plenty of time to review the year with relaxed conversations and good food.

More Content About Our Company and Our Products

We have had a blog since the beginning of this year. Interested readers can find numerous exciting construction-related topics in it. In addition to digital trends and innovations, we provide a glimpse behind the scenes of our company and report on sustainable building materials as well as interesting structures.

For interested parties and users of our software, we hold weekly webinars on a wide variety of topics. Our goal is always to help all Dlubal users to be more productive in their daily work. After all, you should enjoy structural analysis.

We also offer new online courses, such as RFEM 6 for Beginners, Programming with RFEM 6 and Python, and RFEM 6 with Rhino & Grasshopper.
For customers and students, we regularly upload new online training courses to our e-learning area. Students can even use this service completely free of charge, because we are so happy to seize the opportunity to invest in the training of future engineers.

Dlubal Extranet

We have created a very special area for our customers. As a user of Dlubal programs, you have access to our Extranet now. Here, users receive notifications about new webinars, program versions, and our newsletters. In the case of a contact data change, users can adjust them on their own. Also, other useful data on users, licenses, service contracts, and so on, relating to your own company, can be viewed here. Even submitting suggestions for improvement and customer requests is now processed via the Extranet. Everything important for our users is unified in one place.

News from Product Development

Our product development has not been idle either. We have been working hard on our new programs RFEM 6, RSTAB 9, RSECTION 1, and RWIND 2. Numerous new features ensure that users can work even more efficiently with our software tools. We would particularly like to highlight the following achievements in product development:

  • Integration of RFEM 6 / RSTAB 9 in Autodesk Revit
  • Connection of rectangular hollow sections in the Steel Joints add-on
  • Cross-laminated timber design according to EC 5
  • Section design for cold-formed steel members according to EN 1993‑1‑3
  • Facilitating a center of rigidity in a building model
  • and many other features

New Office in Munich

We are constantly growing. For this reason, we have left behind our previous office in Munich and expanded accordingly. In the heart of the big city, our hard-working employees are now in new, modern offices. Product development and marketing have been represented here since the beginning of the year.

Breaking Records with Dlubal Software

We are always excited about the great structural projects that can be implemented using our software. One of these customer projects stood out this year and showed: Records are being set with Dlubal Software. In May 2022, the Sky Bridge opened in the Dolní Morava area (Czech Republic). With a length of 2,365.5 ft, it is the longest pedestrian bridge in the world, and connects two mountain ridges at a height of over 3,281 ft above sea level. NN. The planning and subsequent construction of the pedestrian bridge was carried out by TAROS NOVA a.s.

Growing Community on LinkedIn

With over 13,000 followers, LinkedIn has become our most important social media platform. Many users and customers of Dlubal Software are represented here, which significantly facilitates the exchange for us, and at the same time, it increases our reach with each new contact.

More Videos for Employer Branding

Social networks are subject to constant change. In large companies in particular, users are increasingly interested in building a more personal bond with the products and the company itself. More personal messages in the form of videos are increasingly replacing rigid marketing models. We have also followed this trend as a company and have found: Video messages are not only suitable for contact with customers and potential users. They can also be crucial to the growth of our team.

We reach a lot more people with short videos. This form of communication is more pleasant and personal. At the same time, more information can be conveyed in a short time. Therefore, we also use this knowledge for our employer branding. We want to show our future team members what it really means to work at Dlubal, and this is what video is made for.

Have a good start to the new year 2023!

To all fans, customers, users, and friends out there: We appreciate your continued confidence and trust in our structural analysis and design programs. We would also like to express our high praise to our Dlubal team. Without you, none of this would ever be possible.

Dlubal Software wishes you all a Happy New Year, and stay healthy. We'll see, read, and hear each other in 2023!
