Promising Start to Weekend
The weather report said it would be raining cats and dogs last Friday—dark and cold, not exactly ideal for a bike ride. But sometimes you just get lucky: instead of constant rain, our Leipzig team was greeted by bright sunshine. So, everything was set for our planned trip.
Route: Lake Cospuden and Lake Markkleeberg
We headed out after work and started our tour of Lake Markkleeberg. On the way, we took a little detour around the neighboring Lake Cospuden. The bike route offered stunning views of the lake and a few unexpected encounters with local wildlife — like water buffalo and horses.

Finishing Together at Kanupark
Our tour took us to a restaurant right next to the Kanupark ot Lake Markkleeberg. We wrapped up the afternoon with some tasty drinks, great food, and good conversation in a laid-back setting.

Perfect Ending
After that, the group split up. Some went home, and others rode bikes through the Agra Park in Markkleeberg. That's where the last photo of the evening was taken – the pavilion, which was reflected impressively in the water.
We all got home pretty tired, but still feeling good. The trip showed us once again that sometimes you've just got to dare to set off — everything else will fall into place.
