Connections in Steel Structures | Dlubal Software

First Steps with RFEM
Description
Dlubal Software provides you with powerful add-on modules for the design of your steel connections.
Whether frame joints, column bases, hinged and rigid beam connections, Sikla connections, tower connections, or hollow section connections ...
Design your connections according to Eurocode - in addition to all cross-section and stability cheks - directly on the entire structural model.
Save your time for determining geometric data or internal forces for your connection analysis.
Export your connections to CAD programs and document design dimensions and graphics in clearly arranged printout reports.
Design your structure even more efficiently by considering the deformation behavior of your connections when determining the internal forces of your structure. The necessary rotational stiffnesses (the rotational stiffness Sj; the initial rotational stiffness Sj,ini; the initial stiffness Sj,app, and others) are determined by our add-on modules such as JOINTS and FRAME‑JOINT Pro.
With JOINTS, you can design all common pinned and moment-resistant beam-to-beam and beam-to-column connections.
Design shear force connections with "JOINTS Steel - Pinned."
"JOINTS Steel - DSTV" designs standardized moment-resistant and hinged I‑beam connections.
"JOINTS - Column Base" allows you to design hinged and restrained column bases according to Eurocode 3. Select various bucket and base plate connections.
The program displays all necessary design dimensions as well as the corresponding hole patterns.
The FRAME‑JOINT Pro add-on module dimensions (by using the component method) rigid bolt connections between column and horizontal beams.
The classification and design are displayed in clearly arranged tables. Like the graphics, they can be printed in the printout report, but can also be exported to other applications, such as Microsoft Excel.
Do you have your own connection solutions with defined ultimate limit states? Let's determine it for your structure with LIMITS! Create your own databases in LIMITS and always use your fasteners. DSTV connections are also included.

- In RF‑/JOINTS Steel - DSTV, I get the notes "Wrong geometry" and "Invalid material". Which entries do I have to adjust?
- It is not possible to calculate the connection that I have created. Error No. 30863 appears. What should I do?
- How can I remove a web stiffener or an end plate for the connection design in the FRAME‑JOINT Pro add-on module?
