[EN] FAQ 002775 | Why do I receive no stresses as a result for an orthotropic surface?

Question:
Why do I receive no stresses as a result for an orthotropic surface?

Answer:
Stresses cannot be calculated for every orthotropic thickness type.

For the following orthotropic stiffnesses, the stresses are also calculated:

Orthotropic stiffness type with a constant thickness (Image 01).
Orthotropic 2D material model with a constant thickness (Image 02).

No stresses are calculated for any other orthotropic surface types. For an orthotropic model with different thicknesses in the x and y directions, the display of the stresses for the x and y directions would be relatively complex and incomprehensible (Image 03).

The three basic stiffnesses are defined in the attached file.
