We provide hints and tips to help you get started with the RFEM program.
Editing Reinforcement on Member Representatives
Video
First Steps with RFEM
Description
If you have multiple columns within a structure that are identical, you do not need to define the reinforcement for each individual column. To do this, you can activate the member representatives and then carry out the reinforcement definition on the member representative for that column.

Reinforced Concrete Column Design per ACI 318-19 in RFEM 6
Using the Concrete Design add-on, concrete column design is possible according to the ACI 318-19.
- I would like to perform punching design of a floor slab. I have selected nodes for the design, but they are marked as invalid. Where did I make a mistake?
-
The limit stress is activated, but my stress ratio is “non-designable” in the Stress-Strain Analysis add-on. What could be the reason?
- In RFEM 6, is it possible to display a graphic with the distribution of the required reinforcement in the DIN A0 format?
- How do I define a member as a cantilever and not as supported at both ends for serviceability or deflection design?
- Where can I find the graphical results of punching shear in the concrete design? Especially the distribution of shear forces at the critical perimeter or the punching loads.

Is it possible to display the reinforcement description in RFEM 6?
- I would like to export nodal support forces of several load cases, load combinations and result combinations into an Excel spreadsheet in RFEM 6. How should I proceed?
- Where can find the option to hide the defined types (for example, design supports or effective lengths)?
- How do I create a user-defined Design Situation with my own chosen load combinations?
- Can I define a different bar size in the RFEM 6 Concrete Design add-on other than the default bar sizes available in the drop-down?
- I would like to export nodal support forces of several load cases, load combinations and result combinations into an Excel spreadsheet in RFEM 6. How should I proceed?
