Question

Are the boundary conditions transferred from RFEM/RSTAB when performing the analysis with RF‑/STEEL Warping Torsion or with the General Method in RF‑/STEEL EC3?

Answer:

Nodal supports and boundary conditions are preset, but not imported. They usually have to be adjusted.

When using the General Method for the design of sets of members in RF‑/STEEL EC3, nodal supports phi_x' and u_y' are predefined at the start and end of the set of members, representing a lateral and torsional restraint for all straight sets of members.

In RF‑/STEEL Warping Torsion, nodal supports u_x, u_y, u_z, and phi_x are always predefined at the start and end of sets of members.
