When creating the FE mesh for a solid, I get the error message No. 2306: 'The solid boundary surfaces are not closed at the lines XX.'
My solid has openings in the boundary surfaces. How can I solve the problem?

Answer

A solid must always be completely closed. To clarify the problem, imagine filling the solid with a liquid. At no point should liquid escape from the solid.

The attached video shows how to insert the missing surfaces easily and effectively.
