Subsequent Reinforcement of Downstand Beam in RFEM 5

How can I retroactively apply a reinforcement to a modeled downstand beam in RFEM 5?

Answer:

The reinforcement of a cross-section can be applied as follows:

  • Model the corresponding additional member.
  • Divide the original and the new member at the same uniform distances, depending on where you want to connect (right-click the member → "Divide Member" option).
  • Connect them using rigid members/couplings
