I don't understand the results for the rib, which is not subjected to any dramatic loads, yet still shows a high value for the required reinforcement area. Why is this happening?
The reason for the high values of the required reinforcement area is that As,min is calculated based on the effects of restraint. You can disable this in the configuration, or it would probably be sufficient to adjust the kc coefficient.
