The “Composite Beam” member type allows you to model individual partial cross-sections as separate members and connect them to each other using rigid links. The composite behavior can be modeled as rigid, flexible, or elastic. A corresponding library of connection elements is planned for future development.
The composite cross-section is currently defined exclusively in RSECTION (see the RSECTION manual). The existing composite cross-sections from the RFEM cross-section library will be migrated to the new concept at a later date and will thus also be available for use. A standardized workflow is also planned for the design of the individual partial cross-sections in the future. Currently, the partial cross-sections can already be designed in the respective design add-ons.
