Question

Where can I change the deformation coefficient kdef (EN 1995‑1‑1) or the creep coefficient φ (SIA 265) for long-term deformations in the case of automatic load combinations?

Answer:

Since the components due to creeping are directly considered for the serviceability limit state design by the load combinations, it is also necessary to define the service class and thus the deformation coefficient in RFEM or RSTAB, regardless of the design module. This can be done in General Data (see Image 01), but you can also access the corresponding settings directly from the combination expressions (see Image 02).
