How are riggings in RF-FORM-FINDING dealt with in terms of the prestress load to be applied. Is it necessary to assign a prestressing force to the riggings?

Answer

For Form-Finding, it is primarily important to apply a prestress for the membrane and any edge cables. The riggings do not have to be prestressed.

The riggings can be installed as a tension member with its initial length. Due to the prestressed membrane and the edge cables, the load for the rigging is obtained during the calculation.
