In the summer months of 2010/11 and 2011/12, a new research station was built for the Indian Ministry of Earth Sciences in East Antarctica. The structure consists of an enveloping steel structure and 134 special containers that transfer vertical and horizontal loads. The design was carried out by bof Architekten and IMS Ingenieurgesellschaft, while the engineering office KSF took over the structural analysis. The deformation behavior of the station was created in RSTAB. Find out more at www.ksf-ing.de.
