The 19 m high, 18 ton "Edy" wooden sculpture was the symbol of the 2017 Ski World Championships in St. Moritz. The structure, made of over 600 triangular 54 mm thick cross-laminated timber panels, was calculated with RFEM and the RF-LAMINATE and RF-COM add-ons. The internal forces were transferred to MS Excel using RF-COM for fastener design and stress analysis. The model accompanied various ceremonies, projections, dance, and climbing shows in Kulm Park.
