The 19-meter-high skier Edy, a sculpture in honor of Edy Reinalter, was erected for the 2017 World Ski Championships in St. Moritz. The 18-ton structure, made of over 600 triangular, 54 mm thick cross-laminated timber panels, was designed by sblumer ZT GmbH using RFEM and the RF-LAMINATE and RF-COM add-on modules. Internal forces exported via RF-COM were used for the design checks of fasteners and stress analyses. More information can be found here:
