The Matterhorn glacier ride, the highest tri-cable gondola lift worldwide, opened in September 2018 to increase transport capacity to the Klein Matterhorn. With a budget of CHF 55 million, the impressive project was realized by the engineering firm Indermühle. An RFEM model shows the sophisticated timber constructions of the mountain and valley stations used in this unprecedented infrastructure measure.
