The model shows an unconventional steel support structure where a burden dump abandoned since 1975 in Baesweiler has been newly upgraded. The solution combines functional efficiency with innovative urban development concepts and was awarded the German Landscape Architecture Prize in 2009. Presented by IFS-Consulting Engineers for Construction Prof. Feyerabend. Schüller Partnerschaftsgesellschaft from Hürth represents forward-thinking in steel structures and revitalized land use.
