The Palazzo Meridia in Nice is presented in the trend towards ecological timber structures for high-rise buildings. Nine of the ten stories are made of cross-laminated timber, while the basement, ground floor, and stairwells are made of reinforced concrete. The open metal facade with access balconies highlights innovative design approaches. The developer, Nexity, is reducing CO₂ emissions with various labels and certifications. http://www.architecture-studio.fr/ Architecture-Studio (© Architecture-Studio) was commissioned to design, supply, and install the timber structure.
