The steel-framed project at the University of Arkansas is currently considered the largest cross-laminated timber (CLT) building in the United States. Completed in 2019, this student residence uses an innovative solid timber structure to create a living and learning environment. Vancouver-based EQUILIBRIUM Consulting Inc. from Vancouver, BC, Canada, oversaw the project. The project is a pioneer in modern timber structures and highlights the potential of sustainable construction methods.
