The 39-meter (128-foot) span of the canopy is achieved using two double-layer HSS girders that run over the main V-shaped columns. The double HSS girders were welded together in three segments. Each segment was joined using a concealed bolted connection to ensure high-quality factory fabrication.
The V-shaped columns and branches help to shorten the span of the main beams and the farthest-spanning purlins of the canopy. A multicolored glass panel sits atop the steel, casting striking shadows on the ground as the sun moves across the sky.
