Summit Park Pavilion, Ohio, USA

Novum was commissioned to design and construct the roof canopy for the “Summit Park Glass Pavilion” in Blue Ash, Ohio. The structure was designed using Dlubal Software to achieve the 128-foot span of the double-layer HSS girders.

The 39-meter (128-foot) span of the roof canopy is achieved using two double-layer HSS girders that have their distribution across the main V-shaped columns. The double HSS girders were welded together in three segments. Each segment was joined using a concealed bolted connection to ensure high-quality factory fabrication.

The V-shaped columns and branches help to shorten the span of the main beams and the farthest-reaching roof purlins of the roof canopy. A multicolored glass panel sits atop the steel, casting striking shadows on the ground as the sun moves across the sky.
