Summit Park Pavilion, Ohio, USA

Novum was commissioned to plan and execute the canopy for the "Summit Park Glass Pavilion" in Blue Ash, Ohio. The structure was designed using Dlubal Software to achieve the 39-meter span of the double-layer HSS beams.

The 39 m span of the canopy is achieved with two double-layer HSS beams that run over the main V-shaped columns. The double HSS beams were welded together in three segments. Each segment was connected with a concealed bolted connection in order to achieve high-quality fabrication in the factory.

The V-shaped columns and branches help to reduce the span of the main beams and the purlins of the canopy with the longest spans. A multicolored glass panel is placed on the steel, creating impressive shadows on the floor as the sun moves across the sky.
