Structural design and variant study

The loadbearing system of the hall is designed as a single-aisle structure with main structural elements formed by truss girders. The building includes a canopy extending the usable area with storage spaces, changing rooms, and an entrance. A significant part of the work is a comparative study of four geometry variants of the truss girder, which evaluates the influence of the bracing members' arrangement on the overall weight and stiffness of the structure.

Loading, analysis, and documentation

Snow load and wind loading were determined according to ČSN EN standards, taking into account the climatic conditions of the specific location and the self-weight of the roof covering and wall cladding. The structural analysis includes the verification of the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state of the individual structural components. The outcome of the work is the structural design of profiles, a technical report, and drawing documentation of the supporting structure.

This bachelor thesis is entered in the Dlubal Talent ČVUT 2026 competition.
