Structure and Variant Study

The hall structure is designed as a single-bay system with truss girders used as the main load-bearing elements. The building includes a canopy that expands the usable area to include storage spaces, locker rooms, and an entrance. A significant part of the work is a comparative study of four truss geometry variants, which evaluates the effect of the arrangement of the infill members on the overall weight and stiffness of the structure.

Loads, Calculations, and Documentation

Snow and wind loads were determined in accordance with ČSN EN standards, taking into account the climatic conditions of the specific location and the dead weight of the roof and wall cladding. The structural analysis includes verification of the ultimate and serviceability limit states of individual structural elements. The result of this work is the design of the profiles, a technical report, and drawing documentation of the load-bearing structure.

This bachelor’s thesis is included in the Dlubal Talent CTU 2026 competition.
