Modular Analysis and Design of Steel Membrane Structure for Roofing of Sports Center in Fürth, Germany

This thesis deals with the roofing of a multi-purpose sports hall with a parking garage and an entrance area.

The calculations are performed for all components on the basis of the partial safety concept (DIN 1055‑100) and the new standards for wind and snow.

For the form-finding of the membrane roof, a modular concept is created, which should be evaluated within the pre-dimensioning. The final model of the structure is based on the assumptions previously made within the modular analysis.
