Structural Design of Wind Measurement Tower

To the equipment of a wind power station belongs a wind measurement tower, which is 90 m high and anchored by cables. It is supposed to have a lifetime of approx. 2 to 4 years.

Due to the temporary use, the tower must be erected with scaffold poles and guys, admitted for use by the supervising authority, in distances of 8 m. In addition to the dead load, it is especially important to take into account a wind load as the governing action. The foundation can be designed as a flat footing as well as a deep foundation.
