You can use the Stress-Strain Analysis add-on in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9 to perform a general stress analysis with which the existing stresses are calculated and compared to the limit stresses. The add-on also allows the determination of strains for surfaces and solids, as well as automatic cross-section or thickness optimization including updating of the modified cross-sections or surface thicknesses. 💡
