We are thrilled to announce the release of the first version of steel footings, after months of dedicated programming and analysis. The highlight of this update is the new "Base Plate" component, which connects the selected reference member to a concrete block. ✔
This component allows for the definition of anchors in various diameters and classes in an orthogonal pattern. The steel connection includes a specialized detail in a submodel that simulates the interaction between steel and concrete, accounting for anchoring action. Results from this submodel are used to design the concrete block (contact stress between the base plate and its nonlinear support) and the anchors (internal forces on member elements).
