Question:
I would like to remodel a connection using FRAME‑JOINT Pro for comparison purposes, but I am having problems with the bolt spacings. Are there any other spacings, or have I overlooked something?
Answer:
The difference may be caused by the standard wrench dimensions, which require minimum dimensions at several locations. Thus, the exact recalculation is difficult.
RF-/FRAME-JOINT Pro checks whether the wrench dimensions allow for the assembly of the connection. For this, it is possible to use standard dimensions or user specifications. In order to ensure screwability, the dimensions D and L of a common socket wrench, as well as b and h of a torque wrench, are specified.
However, you can change these spacings to achieve the desired dimensions. To open the corresponding dialog box, use the "Details" button and the "Wrench Dimensions" button there (see Image 01).
