Question

I have numeric stiffnesses of my members. How can I assign the stiffnesses to a member without having to create a notional material and a cross-section?

Answer

In this case, you can use the "Definable Stiffness" member type and specify the member stiffnesses directly in the dialog box that you open by clicking the [Edit] button. Thus, it is not necessary to assign a cross-section.
