In 2013, a very special project was implemented in Pitigala, Sri Lanka, located 3,728.22 miles away. It is a bridge designed, calculated, and built by 30 students. They are part of the university group "Engineers Without Borders Karlsruhe Institute of Technology e.V.", which realizes development projects in seven different countries.
