Question:
How can I display the sag of a member directly in the model?
Answer:
To display the member sag, proceed as follows:
- Create a linear dimension on the member. This can be done by sections or over the entire member length.
- Display a global displacement as the result.
- Activate the "Results in Section" option under "Dimensions" in the Navigator – Results.
You can now read out the member sag from the dimensioning. This corresponds to the greatest magnitude of an imaginary line between the deflected start and end of the considered member section.
