Are the nonlinear effects taken into account in the calculation in RF‑STABILITY?

Answer

The effects of structural and material nonlinearities can be considered in RF‑STABILITY. To do this, select the "Increase load until structural failure" calculation method in the add-on module.

In the case of a linear calculation, these nonlinear effects are not taken into account.

However, the nonlinear calculation has also disadvantages compared to the linear calculation. The calculation usually takes more time. Moreover, the lowest eigenvalue can only be calculated due to the principle.
