Question

Are the nonlinear effects taken into account in the calculation in RF‑STABILITY?

Answer:

The effects of structural and material nonlinearities can be considered in RF‑STABILITY. To do this, select the "Increase load until structural failure" calculation method in the add-on module.

In the case of a linear calculation, these nonlinear effects are not taken into account.

However, a nonlinear calculation has disadvantages compared to a linear calculation. The calculation usually takes more time. Moreover, only the lowest eigenvalue can be calculated, on principle.
