Markus Baumgärtel General RFEM

Can I model a pulley with RFEM?

Answer

In RFEM a pulley can be simulated with the help of the rod type "rope to discs". So can be z. B. calculate pulley systems. It is imperative to ensure that the rod, including all break points, consists of only one polyline (see Figure 1). Otherwise, the model simply hangs on the node bearings and a force deflection at these points does not take place.
