How many members can be connected to a node in RF‑/JOINTS Timber – Steel to Timber, and what is the minimum angle between the members?

Answer:

In order to perform a smooth calculation, the program defines the maximum number of connected members as well as the minimum angle between the members. The geometric conditions are defined as follows:

  • Maximum number of connected members: 8
  • Minimum length of a member: 42 cm
  • Minimum angle between members: 15°

If these boundary conditions are not met, no further calculation is possible.
