Clipping Plane

Is it possible to create different cutting planes for visualizing results?

Answer:

Yes, the "Clipping Plane" function makes this possible. A clipping plane can be defined via the "Insert" menu → "Auxiliary Objects" → "Clipping Planes" or via the Data Navigator → "Auxiliary Objects" → "Clipping Planes".

Via the context menu (right-click), a clipping plane can be activated and deactivated, and the dialog box for editing the parameters can be opened, see figure below.

Especially for solids or other more complex models, it is useful to create such clipping planes in order to obtain a more detailed insight into the results.

For documentation purposes, the view of a clipping plane can be transferred to the report via the "Print Immediately" button.
